Astro ExtensionGet started with Astro.
Astro isn't on the Chrome Web Store yet. Install it manually in under two minutes. It's straightforward.
Download astro-extension.zipDownload & unzip
Click the button above to download the extension zip. Once it downloads, unzip it. You should get a folder called "dist".
Open Chrome extensions
In Chrome, go to the address bar and type chrome://extensions, then press Enter.
Enable Developer Mode
In the top-right corner of the Extensions page, toggle on "Developer mode". A new row of buttons will appear.
Load the extension
Click "Load unpacked", then select the "dist" folder you unzipped in step 1. Astro will appear in your extensions list.
Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, find Astro, and click the pin icon. This keeps it one click away.
Sign in
Click the Astro icon in your toolbar to open the popup. Enter your email to receive a magic link. No password needed.
A note on updates
Because this isn't installed from the Web Store, it won't update automatically. When I push a new version, check back here and re-download the zip, then repeat steps 1 and 4 with the new folder. Once I'm on the Web Store this goes away.
